The give-me generation was pampered, and sheltered.

Now reality has finally shown up, and they cant cope.

i wonder how many more stories we will be hearing in the near future.

I wonder how many stories didnt come about because the US bailed out alot of companies, thus saving lots of jobs (at the expense of my tax $$$ :disgust: )

I wonder how many more suicides or murder-suicides if the Pres (Bush + Obama) had the common sense/balls to let AIG, GM, Citibank, and FannyMae/FredieMac, etc go under.

This might sound cold, but i rather have them go under, then see my Tax $ squandered.

I was watching a show called House Hunters the other day where a young couple who only made $60k/year between the two of them got a $425k mortgage from the bank. This was an episode from before the housing bust. That kind of irresponsible lending made me throw up in my mouth a bit and it's the number one reason why were in the mess were in today.
 
How many Gen-X/Y are committing suicide and how many of their parents?

I thought it was always those 40+ committing suicide? Maybe I'm wrong.
 
your right. but the social engineers say everybody should have their own home even if they can't afford it. that's what started the NINJA loans and the liar loans. Prudent business models for lending money are deemed "discriminatory" . So untill government meddling ends, expect it to get plenty worse...

I don't know, I am from the same generation and my technique is to live a day at a time, head for the hills (literally), therapy "sessions" on hikes and networking with like-minded individuals. The past year and a half has been relatively peaceful for me, even though I am certainly prone to depression.
