Yep, at first I was thinking it would be cool, but these are not friendly European honeybees. I would put on a hazmat suit, beat the shit out of the nest, douse in kerosene and blaze it.

actually I had a swarm off bees decend upon my front yard tree this weekend. Built a huge hive in like a day while my wife and I were out and about. Well I say huge but about 1 foot tall and about 8 inches in diameter and covered with bees. Not sure what to do about it right now.

Why is that? My daughter knew not to fuck with bees at two years old. Younger than that, and the kid is out of the flight path aside from yellow jackets. If you have yellow jackets, you don't let them play over the nest. This shit isn't hard...

Call beekeepers until you find one that will pay you to take it. Those things are valuable, but if you don't really care about the money it should be pretty easy to find someone that will take it for free. It will definitely be easier than making a hazmat suit and removing the nest yourself.

This - yellow jackets. I've been stung over 30 times by them over my life. They hurt like hell, and I stopped wearing shorts for much of my childhood after being stung a number of times in a single summer (the would get my knees/legs/ankles. Worst I got was 3-4 stings around my neck when I was 7-8 years old, playing with my Aunt's dog at a family BBQ. Pretty sure the dog was stung too.
