Yes, reminding people that Quiznos = leperous rat. Appetizing.

i never said anything about quiznos, you did.

i also have no clue wtf you are talking about with quiznos though, and what you've said wouldn't stop me from getting a chicken carbonara sub from there.

Well, the point of the thread is "Today's cringeworthy commercial". Everyone going to think something different.
I've never seen the Pilot commercials myself till now & those KFC ones are strange. Almost feel bad for Darrell but he made the choice.

Those new Quilted Northern are the ones that i think are creepy.

you all are saying the KFC commercials are dumb, but here you all are, hijacking a thread about a car commercial having a larger discussion about KFC.

i'd say the commercial has worked very well.

Not talking about the marketing aspect of it, but rather the nature of the commercial itself. Celebrities do dumb stuff all the time on purpose to generate buzz about themselves; companies do the same thing - make something so bad that people can't help but talk about it. That's separate from the quality of the commercial (topic being cringeworthy, not advertising success).

Why are you folks even watching the commercials? Mute during live breaks and molest your gf/wife or something. None of you have tablets to distract you? Primitives!

Have you guys heard the Uber radio commercial lately? It is by far the dumbest ad I've heard in awhile.

It starts off with a narrator saying "We've been hearing a lot about Uber, so we've talked to a few folks about it."

Then a women starts "interviewing" uber drivers, asking things like, is it easy to sign up? Do I need a car? How many hours you work?

One of the responses to the question was "I work less hours and make more money." Ok, great, work less hours and make more money RELATIVE TO WHAT?

Finally, the original narrator comes back and talks about how great uber is and for people to sign up, making it clear that he's part of Uber to begin with, so why did he open up with "We've been hearing a lot about Uber" as if he has no idea what it is?

Stupid.

I read a really long article the other day where the writer signed up to be an Uber driver for the sake of the article & also interviewed a ton of Uber drivers. Turned out to be a massive scam money-wise, basically a rolling pyramid scheme with lots of false promises about how much you'd actually make. If it sounds too good to be true...

So what are we to take from this commercial? Lookslike this family is miserable and some stupid song suddenly changes that?

the new colonel reminds me of my cousin's husband

Ok, if you had said that he reminds you of <insert a celebrity or someone famous>, then your post would have merit. But there's no way anyone can relate to your "cousin's husband". At least throw a pic up so we can judge for ourselves.
