I had an appointment at 9:30am to meet with a student advisor at UMKC (University of Missiouri Kansas City) about going back to school. I had never been on the campus, so obviously I didn't know where I was going, or where the building was that I needed to go to.
So, I'm driving around the campus trying to find this building. I'm not paying 100% attention to the road, since I'm looking for the building or a sign or something...
All of a sudden, I look forward, and all I see are brake lights. Right in the middle of the road some chick decided to stop. There was a branch (maybe 1"-2" in diameter) on the road. So, she stops. I don't. **CRASH** Luckily everyone was ok. My neck is a little tight, I'll sleep it off, see if it feels better in the morning. I think she was going to go see a doctor.
So, now my blazer sits in the body shop, I'm without transportation (under 21, didn't have rental car coverage on my insurance), and this just sucks.
Tow truck driver said he figured about 2500 in damage on my vehicle.
The kicker... last month I raised my deductable from 500 to 1000.
AHHHHHHH!
I've never been this angered at myself. Pisses me off that I let something like this happen just as I was getting caught up money wise.
