Today Show Confirms... "Virginia Sniper trained via Counter Strike"

They had on an **Expert** on the Today Show this morning that confirmed this.

Here are the **Expert's** reasons why...

1) "An individual could never have fired a gun before, and get the training from this game needed to operate a firearm and be an efficient killer."

2) "One shot, one kill"..."This type of killing is promoted and rewarded in this game"

3) "I am God"... "The message boards for this game are littered with this phrase"

Well, I know I'm convinced. If the media and authorities think things are bad now, wait until the killer really decides to use the skills that he has picked up in Counter Strike and jumps off of a 50ft building into a crowd of people, proceeds to circle strafe around them all the while pelting them with gun fire, and then rocket jumps over a nearby fence and scurries off into the night.

Also, they haven't seen anything yet with the killer playing Counter Strike... god help us all when he switches over to Rocket Arena.

It's not hard to believe that the sniper actually plays CS. As far as that being his motivation... I doubt it, but nobody can rule it out completely.

Yea, you really need to figure in CS is not reality. You have several variables like the weight of the rifle, real-world scenarios, etc. He may of played it but I seriously doubt he would gain his skill from this game.

Ok, I'm kinda on the line about video game violence and it's effect on our constitution. But to emphatically state that he was trained to shoot a high powered long range rifle by this video game is completely ridiculous. That's wrong for so many reasons, the most glaring one being that A KEYBOARD/MOUSE DOES NOT OPERATE LIKE A FIREARM.
 
it's funny how when people don't have a clue they look for ANYTHING to blame it on, unfortunantly music and games are so easy a target now 🙁

If the sniper had learned how to operate an M-16/M-4 from Counter-Strike, the world would be safe, given how laughably incorrect the reloading animation is.

I know when I was a kid, I DID learn all my L337 skillz at smashing barrels thrown by a huge gorilla with a big mallet from Donkey Kong.
