I guess that's one way to go from Senior Member to Elite member - post the same thing like 20 times!

Yeah, the limit was reached.

Just want to thank KNBP for this post. I just grabbed a V3 2000 (for second monitor) and an MS internet keyboard for a little over $60. Thanks again!

Looks like the deal is over....

For those of you who got the "$20 off of $50" message.
The reason is that in the "order amount" field, you put the amount BEFORE shipping, instead of the total order amount.
I believe the .asp web page is doing something like:
(order amount) - (shipping) < $100 { then only allow $20 off }
(Yep, I screwed up too...)

According to the CSR I spoke to, you need to send an e-mail to:
custserv3@ecsnetwork.com and explain the situation, state that
you were supposed to get the $50 rebate and inclose all your information so that they can find your order...

Hope this helps...

the_man,

That's not correct. You're supposed to put the amount before shipping in the order amount box. Anyways, even if they went by your formula, my dollar amount would still be above $100, and I also got the $20 off $50 message.

Hmmm...

That's kinda wierd....
The reason I am saying that, is that I put in:
Order Amount: $100.95 (really should have been $111.97)
Shipping: $11.02
And I got the $20 off of $50 page...

But my friend put in:
Order Amount: $104.75 (Total of order including shipping)
Shipping: $2.95

And he got the $50 off of $100 page...

So I still think that some of us put in the wrong values...
(Like me..)
... That or the calculation isn't that accurate. :)

Maybe he submitted it after they fixed it?
But as far as these rebate forms are concerned, they explicity say for you not to include the shipping amount in the order amount.
Anyways, I don't think it's a big deal. They just never bothered changing the confirmation asp file to reflect the new rebate rather than the one from a few days ago. The other rebate is expired.

jrichrds,

My friend submitted his about 2 minutes after I submitted mine,
so I doubt they fixed it....
It just does a subtraction of the total price minus the shipping, and checks to see if it is over $100.
Mine wasn't since I put in the total BEFORE shipping in the "Order Amount" field. And his was.

I would still suggest an e-mail to verify....
No harm in checking...

Apaulo,

THATS what i've been thinking all morning... I couldnt post, cause i was writing from work (UCI) and i forgot that we are banned..

anyways, the rebate at BFL is 30 off 100.... plus free shipping... plus the 50 off 100.... could mean monstrous savings....

So possible 80 off 100.. plus shipping..

the stores that have it at both places is 800.com and computer4sure.com

I asked a CSR regarding this.. and he said that it should be ok... BUT both forms looks suspiciously similar....

The $20 off $50 note is definitely NOT because you entered the
wrong info in the boxes. I ordered a new IBM 75GXP 7200rpm 30GB
drive from Computers4Sure with the deal. Shipped price was about
$215 = $207 + $8 shipping. (So my net cost will be $165 shipped
for this great drive...not too shabby). At any rate, no matter
how you twist the numbers, there's no way you can wind up with
a value of <$100.

The confirmation page was simply wrong. I wish there was an on-line
place to confirm what you're getting, but I'm not too worried.

knownothingbutphysic - Thank you again for posting this, you da man! I just received shipping confirmation from Computers4Sure.com that my Asus K7V motherboard has been shipped.

Isn't it funny how you find the best deals during the wee hours of morning (12AM Midnight - 2 AM)? Sleep? Who needs sleep when you can save massive $

It seems good deals always appear at midnight, I don't know why. This is the first time I found a deal directly, not from any forums. By the way, I don't sleep before 6am.

Don't kick yourself if you missed this deal. There wasn't free shipping... So if you can still go thru Brandsforless.com with the $30 off and free shipping the difference is only $10 or $15. And no hassles with getting the wrong $ off. BFL has always come thru and saved me 100's of $ this year. I'm going to get the UMAX 2200 scanner (for the webpage software)from C4 and will pay $10 more but I will know that BFL won't screw it up. Is Shopss listening?

FYI - Today I received my $50 rebate check from E-Commerce Solutions, LLC. of Stamford, CT (same as BFL).

The only indications I had it was related to this promo was:

1) Amount was $50, I very rarely see BFL $50 off whatever. This is only rebate I did which was for this exact amount.
2) The check said RE: MAIL.COM
3) Under order number it listed my Computers4Sure.com order number.

knownothingbutphysic - THANK YOU AGAIN !!! Awesome post, $50 free! WooHoo! It pays to only sleep 3 hours per day!
