I learned of some tragic news. today some punk decided to break into my car today. My baby's windows are now in pieces and my mp3 stereo was apparently pulled out of the dash. What a sad sad day. They should have just taken the car, just to lessen the hassle. Now I have to file police reports, insurance claims. etc. The worst part is that I'm the only person who knows the inside of my car well, so I'd be the only person who knows what else could have been stolen. Plus, I am in NY for school and won't be back home for 3 weeks. My bro said that there were wires everywhere so I hope that my speakers didn't get jacked. It took me a long time to write them the way that I wanted. =(

I just found out from my bro that they tried to hotwire the car.... a bunch of wires under the steering wheel are really messed up... I'm glad that I had my cutoff switch on, that probably prevented them from stealing the car.

IT sucks that your car got broken into, but this is one of the dunbest statements I've seen lately:

They should have just taken the car, just to lessen the hassle. Now I have to file police reports, insurance claims. etc.

Yeah, really, so they steal the car, you just write off or something?

It wasn't even a nice car, 1990 mazda miata :(

I'd rather they'd just stolen the car so I could get a new miata... but I'm glad that it didn't get stolen

I'm hoping they'll cover everything... my mom is gonna file apolice report for me... then my insurance agent said to take it in to their shop to have it checked out...

Someone once smashed my Dad's window in his van. He had $300 in cash sitting in the open between the seats and they didn't take it or anything else.

Now apparently the car won't start... some wires must have gotten cut... the cops couldn't get any fingerprints either :(

The paint is peeling off of my Dodge Caravan. I wish somebody would steal it so that I could get $0 from the insurance company and buy a new Mercedez.

Oh, wait, this is somebody else's thread.

Sorry.

Won't happen again.

Not! :D

My car was broken into 3 days ago, and the god damned crackfiends that did it didn't even take a damn thing. I had a couple hundred bucks worth of tools sitting on the back seat, an older cd deck, a radar detector, and some shoes. I really thought they wouldve taken the shoes. They broke out the damn window the night before it rained. I can't believe they went thru all that for nothing.

That sucks to hear they ripped up your steering column. I've seen cars mutilated like that. Its pretty sick.

You wouldn't get a new one. You would get the replacement value of the car.

Obviously...

I meant that I would be able to get another car which would probably be newer than my 90

not without shelling out more dough. which you would have had to do anyway if you had just sold the car. how is getting it stolen in any way better than just selling car? either way, you only get what it's worth.
