After 34 years of smoking, I am going to try to kill that devil once and for all. Wish me luck.
I cut down to 1 cigarette every 4 or 5 hours, now it's time to cut down to none a day!

This was from 1 to 1 1/2 packs a day!

Good luck my friend! Quitting's a b!tch. I did it once, it's a pain, but obviously it brings HUGE benefits.

Luck has nothing to do with it - but I hope you can find the willpower to dump the habit.

 for good health.

The willpower should be there.I've got a 9 year old daughter I would like to see grow up.

That's why I cut down first. Should be easier to quit from a lesser amount of nicotine intake.

That's a great reason to quit. Stay strong!

i wish you the best of everything... wont say luck, cause it is sheer willpower and hard work.

Congratulations, but remember, the 10th day and the third month after you kick the habit are the most dangerous times.

Basically what happens is that you begin to wonder how a cigarette tastes like after you have quit for so long, then from one cigarette, you resume the habit again.

So beware the 10th day or the third month.

Incentive is all around you KarenMarie, you just have to look. It took me a long time to realize this. For your health, don't take as long as I did. 34 years to find out it's not "cool" is a long time. Thankfully, I have no health problems from doing it ,so far.....

The most important question is, does anyone else in your house smoke?

My mom and dad quit together back in the day. After the 3rd year my mom started up again and the constant smell of it brought my dad back to the habit. 10 years later and they are still smoking.

No, I'm the only one. My wife has never smoked.
