<< i have a friend who is anal retentive about ID3 tags. He personally fixes each one he gets. This person has 5 GB of mp3's, all fixed BY HAND!! >>

I do the same. I'm sorry but I simply cannot stand incorrect filenames and ID3 tags.

Every album I have is writen the the "Artist - Album - track - songname" form and all Id3 tags have the correct artist and song name.

There really is already a scheme that is used by all the mp3 release groups. Everyone should just delete all the other mp3s they have, heh.

Artist-Album_Name-200x-GRP

ex:
"Method_Man_And_Redman-Blackout-1999-RNS"
"Linkin_Park-Hybrid_Theory-2000-PMS"

Then either:

artist-00-track_title-grp.mp3
or 00-artist-track_title-grp.mp3

ex:
method_man_and_redman-07-da_rockwilder-rns.mp3
05-linkin_park-crawling-pms.mp3

pretty simple... heh, and inmo file sharing programs are gay
:/
EDIT:
hope that bold tag works ok.... forgot to add that all id3s are correct and a sfv is included to check to make sure the track isnt fucced
and... an nfo with information about the release (release date, rip date, record label, etc.) :>

<< I highly agree with this...I hate downloading songs with wrong names and retarded id3 tags...Also get rid of those crappy bitrates less than 128bps, personally i get everything at 192! Get Encspot and delete those old ass encoded songs lol >>

hrmf... True 192kbps made from original source or something that's been encoded to 128kbps, then re-encoded to 192kbps?(like the kind I put in share pool 😀)

<< I intentionallly renamed:
Hanson -mmmmmbop.mp3 to
Led Zepplin - Stairway to heaven.mp3
>>

Good thing you can't spell Led Zeppelin properly, then someone might have actually downloaded that POS you renamed!
