Today is a sad day

Recently moved to a new area and found an amazing pizza place with super friendly employees and cheap pickup specials. Apparently today they just closed after 36 years 🙁

Now I have to find some place else to get pizza

Ahhhh, I hate it when that happens. I've run into that a couple times, usually local mom & pop shops that are amazing & they end up retiring and just closing the place or whatever. Boooo!

Oh, so you want to ruin another business?

Well it was going to be yours but then I looked into it and saw I really couldn't do a better job ruining it than the current boss

Did you take a pill in Ibiza?

I just wanted Avicii to think I was cool 🙁

Right? The bastards said they were retiring. Jerks.

Where do you live, let us pick for you.

I feel your pain, I found a local pizza place here, only to have them close down to retire within a couple years.
The pizza business is highly competitive. There are so many of them around.
But most of them aren't so good 🙁
Having had a DiGiorno's rising crust frozen pizza recently, I would take that over Domino's (no joke, they're pretty good!).
No, they are not, and I'll thank you to stop spreading your filthy lies.
The sauce is abysmal on their standard offering, and slightly better on the "pizzeria!" varieties.

I don't know what it is, but ever since Domino's redesigned their pizza, it gives me baaaaaaad acid reflux for like 24 hours straight. My brother basically lives off frozen pizza, so whenever I visit him, that's what I eat...they've gotten surprisingly good lately!

They're okay, but Costco's take-n-bakes have better (IMHO - let's not start a religious war here, I'm just saying) crust.

Sam's Club is actually my go-to junk-meal place on-the-go these days...big slice of pepperoni & an excellent berry froyo for a few bucks, can't beat it!

I feel your pain. We found a very nice little "mom & pop" Eye-talian restaurant last winter. Best in the area...less than 6 months later...they shut down...and some crappy sammich shop type of place opened in the building.

That does suck. Every once in a while I discover a great place just before it goes out of business.

I live in a town with a stupid number of restaurants. More than any city could possibly need, and they open and close so fast I can't even keep track of them. The quality of the food and service don't even matter here - it takes a combination of everything - food, service, price, word-of-mouth, location, even rental rates - to keep places afloat.

And many places are owned by people who had no restaurant experience, so that sinks that many more. Even some that are successful end up shutting down because the owners had no clue how much time and work were needed to run a restaurant.

My sister lives in Mason just south of Lansing.

My pick for you is Deluca's Restaurant and Pizzeria

😎

Out of all of the places I've lived, that's one place I never want to move back to. Waaaaaaaaay too cold in the winters!

Oh noes, like I said in a pinch is the retailer or establishment of last resort so if you've got something better at your disposal by all means use it first. For me I'd get a Pizza Hut $10 large deluxe ready to eat and it's only a phone call away then stop by and pick it up on the way home.
