So, ive been putting it off for way too long now. So in june I decided I would take my license, and today August 10 I got it on the first drivers test!

Now I need a good car! 😀

cool, grats to you.

personally, i hate driving. i hate people who don't know how to obey lights, highway etiquette, street etiquitte, and people who drive in general.

i've logged many miles driving from Bay Area - Santa Barbara (college), Bay Area - LA (few times a year), Bay Area - San Diego (2x), LA - Santa Barbara (visit a gf in college).

Generally, i dont drive more than 20 minutes and i let my gf drive. I just came back from Long Beach and i drove an amazing 2.5 hours on 5. LoL, it doesn't get easier than driving on 5.

Congrats! How old are you? I got my license about 4 months ago, just a couple of days after my 16th birthday. It feels great to pass it the first time because not only are you done with it forever (hopefully), but from now on, whenever you hear of someone failing their driving test, you get to be an @hole and say, "Who the hell fails a driving test?" 😛

What car are you thinking of getting? I'm getting a new one at the end of this month, since my '95 Camry is starting to die.

Night driving ftw.

really? i love driving. i do understand your reasons for not liking to drive. my mom is hte same way, but i'm a pretty good driver and i've learned to be really cautious ever time i cross an intersection or anything. its too often someone runs a red light and almost gets me and my friends killed. i'm not a perfect driver, but i am cautious.

Congrats! Oh the memories 🙂

I remember getting my license like it was yesterday, very important day in a mans life.
33yrs and 3/4 of a million miles later and I still love driving, and have never been injured in a n accident although I've had a few. I wish you as much luck and enjoyment as I've had

Be safe

Nice. You're lucky you can get your license in one go. There's graduated licensing where I live, so I've been on a learners license for a year and then a new drivers license for another two years. Finally now I can get my full license soon.

Yea drive safely now, but if you have a good car i'm sure you are going to start zipping around. Maybe have some close calls with weaving in and out of tracking etc. Normal part of a young man's life. 🙂

I'm kind of curious how old the OP is too, since he talked about putting it off. I personally hate driving, so I put mine off till I was almost 21. On the good side it kept me from having to take any kind of courses or messing with the graduated systems that are out now.

My birthday was august 8th, I'm 23 now. This was kind of a late birthday gift to my self. Theres been other priorities in my life. Like moving to a new country, getting my career up there, allthough its not up there I decided getting a license was also a career move since it opens up new opportunities. Thanks for everything.

This sunday I'm driving to surprise my great grandma. She always wished me the best of luck but im not telling her I made until I stand outside her porch with the car 😀

23?!? Oh man, you'll never experience what it's like to be a teenager with newly found freedoms and a complete disregard for everyone else on the road besides yourself. How sad.
