So, the company I work for is going out of business. Until today only 3 people out of 50 had found employment elsewhere (the job market in Michigan really really sucks) and I had only had one request for an interview out of all the jobs I appied for

Well, today they called me and offered me a job! YAY! :D

And, my tax returns came in - including $7500 for buying our house last year

And, since I will be employed soon by a company thats not going out of business, as soon as I start the bank will call my employer, verify that I do infact work for them and then our refinancing will go through - saving us $150 a month in mortgage payments

Weird how having secure employment and a lower motgage payment relieves the stress in your life.....

Don't get too secure. Who knows what can happen. Good news for now but it's always good to have a backup plan these days.

True, I'd stash a bit of money away for a rainy day but it sounds like you'll have some extra to do it with.
