Shipping is terrible, it says the item is elidgible for the free shipping but at checkout I'm getting charged $20 for shipping and handling (2 toasters). Decent deal still I guess, but probably won't make me jump at it anymore.

Did you remember to change to the "Super Saver Shipping" option. Every time I check out, it always defaults to the Stardard Shipping one that costs megabucks.

Perhaps you failed to notice that in order to get the free shipping, you need to have $25 worth of product that qualifies for it...

Comment: i survived on this oven the whole summer when I was in summer skool... my only utensil to cook...im a college student...i dont need anything super fancy... BUT i have made some really good food in here... i have tried to "fried" eggs... toast bacon... and I bake chicken in here EVERYDAY... so far.. it works fine...but then I also take really good care of it...i defnitely try not to abuse it... HOWEVER.. im not looking for something to last me 5-10 years...i dont mind getting a new one every 2 years or so..since there will be better ones at good prices...and it will be NEW =) My roommates always joke about me having a tv show featuring me cooking with a toaster oven~ =)

there alot more negatives than positives, most about how it breaks and potential fire hazard. guess you get what u pay for, risk your life or house for only $10! wonder if it will be recalled faster than gray davis...

i've never owned a toaster over but from what i've learned from buying cheap kitchen appliances (mainly from fry's) is that they'll break down or catch on fire. my daewoo $50 microwave stopped working after 4 months. it is not worth shipping back for warranty so they can replace it with another piece of crap. a cheap toaster that sometimes toasts too light, or alternatively sets the toast on fire setting off the fire alarm.

be sure to pick a fire extinguisher with your order, it'll get u over that $25 free shipping barrier :)

ive got one of these and im pretty sure the only way to fit four slices in there is on top of each other.
i wouldnt say its a huge fire hazard, but be sure not to have anything on top of it. my roommate left the bread loaf on top of it and it permanently melted the writing from the bread packaging into the top of the toaster.
well worth $10 though.

Anyone else run into this on an order with mulitples of this item?

They added the shipping individually for 4 toasters.............. total 38.84
They deducted shipping individually for 4 toasters... .............total -38.84
They added the cost of each individually for 4 toasters..........total 39.96
But when they actually ship they charge shipping combined..total 23.87
Grand total 39.96+23.87=63.83-38.84= 24.99

24.99 for 4 toaster ovens
