Toaster Oven

Is a toaster oven more economical than a big oven under a stove? I am thinking of getting one. I would imagine it would be due to less area to heat and the convection would help cook the food faster.

Yes, they are more economical for the reasons you listed.

They come in various sizes. You could easily find one that could cook a whole chicken if needed.

Yeh, I have one that can cook a small roast.

I have a nice toaster oven that does convection baking and all that. I've only used my full size oven twice in about two years.
