To you Resident Evil gamers..

I saw the movie last weekend and it was so cool I decided to try the games.. I DL'd the RE3 demo and have been playing it a bit, I do enjoy it however the controls seem so limited and the graphics are decent but not top notch.. then again, the game is somewhat dated. Is there anything more I can expect from the full version if I go out and buy it, it's relatively cheap now..

since you're talking about demo, i'm assuming it's pc game?
i didn't even know they have resident evil for pc .....
but yah, the game is quite good (the first one) .... they gradually detoriate as they develop re 2 and 3..... don't expect it to be anything like the movie though...

but in any way, if you have ps2, i'd suggest you play fatal frame instead .... it's scarier than resident evil and more fun to play with ....

oh well, i guess i'm going off topic on your thread, so pardon me..... 😛

Who are you that you have been brought up in the 20th century and haven't played Resident Evil? Living under a rock, maybe? If the movie is anything like Tomb Raider, it'll be more about its star than the game (of course).

If you really want to play Resident Evil from the beginning, start with the GameCube version. It's not released yet, but it is the same game with awesome graphics. Go to Capcom for screenshots. It looks like you're playing the CG animations. You won't be disappointed. The only problem I see is for those of us who don't own Gamecubes... However the whole series has just become GC exclusive, so it might be a worthwhile investment. RE is a great series.

The Resident Evil movie wasn't too bad, but it got mixed reviews. I think it was a decent horror movie. Anyway, as for the games, Resident Evil 2 and 3 for sure were on PC (played them both), but i'm not sure about the 1st one. I think all of them may be hard to find though. What you can do if you're interested in trying them is to pick up the Playstation versions which should be like 10 bucks now and use a playstation emulator to run them like ePSXe. Works great.
