I've never showered with my son. I gave him baths until he was old enough to wash himself. I would check in on him until he was grown up enough to be shy when I poked my head in.

My daughter is 4 and sometimes to save time I just have her jump in the shower with me. I quick clean her up and hand her off to my wife to get dried off, etc. before I clean myself off.
But I think we're going to stop that because we don't need any long term memories of showering with dad in her head. lol
go overboard much you retard? 😕Originally posted by: iFX

Yes, yes, don't be honest with your child about anatomy. Let them learn from some kid on the playground who gets to watch his daddy rape his mommy every evening. You don't have to have the definitive sex talk with your kid to explain body parts.

Why is that a bad memory for her to have?
Loving and nurturing memories are the best kinds of memories for a child to have - kids that don't have those memories are the ones that are screwed up and have intimacy issues. Your daughter will remember that when she was young daddy used to bathe her and that she was safe and protected with you, that's all.

i'm all for calling it what it is, a vagina, breasts, a penis, gonads. i just don't think a kid should shower with you if he/she can tug on it. i didn't say not to explain anatomy to your child. 😕
nah. you're the one acting all self righteous.Originally posted by: iFX

You seem to be the overboard one to me.
