Okey, atm im thinking is it worth buying a brand new computer or should i just upgrade my gtx260 to a 670 ?

Current computer "Hp pavilion elite HPE-120sc"
Intel Core i7 860 2.8ghz - 8gig ram 1600mhz - GTX260 1.8gig

What to do ?^^ ofc a new one would be awzm, but still is it really worth it ?

Please give a complete list of components and how you use your computer. Also give a budget.

Your i7 860 is still plenty strong, not sure why you think it's such a bad system. Just upgrade your video card if you're not satisfied with your framerates in games.

Pretty much. It's no Sandy Bridge, but it's not exactly a slow CPU either. We do need to know what task you're currently having issues with though.

The GTX 260 is a ~200W card, so you could replace it with up to a GTX 670 or 7950 without increasing the machine's power requirements.

But yeah currently the issue's im having is that my computer aint up to date with the current specifications needed to run games at high settings. Thats why im pretty much asking, to just switch gpu, or to buy a brand new computer ?

Upgrading the graphics card would most likely help.

Before you spend the money though, you should answer these three questions:

1) What's your monitor resolution?
2) Does turning down the graphics settings increase the playability of the game(s)?
3) If so, does having to turn down the graphics settings honestly reduce your enjoyment of the game?

Upgrade your PC. Buy a nice $100 mobo in the FS/FT section, buy a nice heatsink for $25, buy a 128GB Crucial M4 and Samsung for $100, upgrade the video card, and overclock your processor. You need to OC the i7 860 to 4GHz to get the most out of it. It is going to suck in an HP mobo.

Your computer would be a screamer for $300-$350. Or sell me the i7 860 for a good price. :)

Depends on your budget. A 3570k or 3770k will be significantly faster but may or may not be needed for you. A gtx 670 needs a 2600k to be used to its full potential. 8 gb ram is doable

at gaming an i7 860 isn't going to be holding you back much compared to a 3770k. especially as you start increasing the res.

a new graphics card will be your best bang for the buck there.

also, an SSD can make things feel snappier.

Agree. I game on an i7 860 @ stock and a 6970. At 1920x1200, I feel like I am GPU limited in most situations.
