TO upgrade or not to upgrade?

i am trying to decide if i should upgrade or not?

I can get this card for really cheap. And its very tempting.

I have a V5 5500 running on a a7a266, 1ghz t-bird. 512mb ddr.

I am also running XP and W2k dual boot.

The problem is that XP don't reconize all the features of the V5.

Here is more info on the GTS-v.

Quick response will be appreciated, since i need to buy one before they run out!

Thanks.

What is your max you are willing to pay???

I agree with above...Wht go from an obsolete card to one not to far from being really obsolete...With GF4's coming out I would look at a GF3 ti200 or something...Some can be had for around 150.00

Otherwise I think the best card in the style you are lookin at is the gainward GF2 Pro 450...The golden sample comes with the ultra speeds memory and is set to enhanced speeds of 222/444 right out of the gate...I have hit 230/460 with no problems...

That is the question.

Why even bother with XP? win2k is just as good, it's like going from win98 to win98SE.

I say keep your video card & run Win2000 only.

Drop XP & keep your video card.

Later on when & if you upgrade your video card then go with XP.

XP=win2k with eye candy,if your not going to be able to use your Voodoo in it i say drop XP.
