I pay $380 a month for my car.. (Canadian funds) and it's a finance.
I forget what the given rule is for car payments (%) but I am pretty close to that, last I remember.

i think the rule is no more than 30% of your net income. Some folks here have high paying jobs!

My payment on my Explorer is 308. I usually pay over that and pay 358 or 378. My Mustang was not financed. I am using about 17% of my income.

Zip. I would like to thank my former employer for laying me off. Found a new job a few weeks after and used my severance package to pay off my car loan. Nice to have zero debt.

$3200.00 when I brought this heap home from the junkyard. (Yes it was that bad, but everything had matching #'s) I slaved for three years piecing this thing back together. All told, I dropped close to $11,000.00 Bringing my dream car back to life to run stronger & Faster.

$0. I own my car, and I'm very happy with it, because I know that *I* worked for it.

It's not a great car or anything, but it's good in the snow.

I have one car payment and it's right at 10% of my monthly income.

I saved up for a year & paid cash. I did pay about a full year's income however...but I also have no payments (unless you consider maitenance a payment, in which case I pay about an average of $50/month).

I was paying 266.13 a month but paid off the car last year. It was about 4.5% of my pay but that was only for the last half of the loan. It was 9% of my pay for the first half of the loan. The loan was 5 years.

I'm paying an extra $200/mo on my 2002 Honda Accord SE so it gets paid off in 3 years instead of 5 years.

I hate car payments, so the faster it's paid off, the happier I'll be.
