To Those Who Pray

In my experiences, yes. Could it be coincidence? I guess it could be, but I take it as more since it's happened many times on things that I found to be very crucial in my life. Obviously YMMV.

Yes.

Last night, I had a sore throat. I was at a party, and the younger people wanted to get away from the older people to go out bowling. I thought I'd have to sit it out because of the sore throat. I prayed, it subsided, and we arrived at the bowling place 5 minutes before closing.

I prayed to whoever for good grades. I got it. Whether it was because i worked hard or not.. well im not sure. I'm also agnostic so i dont know if that disqualifies anything.

my life blows chicken $hit. i have prayed many times and it has only gotten worse, and worse, and worse...

Do you find that if you thank God instead of asking for stuff that it is more rewarding?

Just a hypothetical questoin, what if it never came around. What if you knew your life was going to constantly suck. What if you knew you were going to go to hell. I'm just wondering what people would do if they knew what was at the end of their good deeds. THis is completely hypothetical

you are still supposed to do the right thing. do what you CAN do. that would just be an excuse to quit trying

If yes, how so?

Ok ... a very specific event.

I had a house for sale. This home was on the market and I was coming near the end of the six month contract with a realtor.

In the five plus months that the home was on the market, I received one offer for 25% less than the asking price. That was the extent of the serious activity. There were probably a dozen scheduled walk-throughs and four open house events So, I am coming up on six months. I have prayed that the house would sell and I had peace that He was going to answer my prayers.

At the Church I attend, we had a prayer and worship service. I was part of the group to lead the service. As we prayed for God to make his presence known to us, I specifically prayed that He would touch lives that very night in such a tangible and specific way and with overwhelming results that there could be no question that His hand was at work.

I arrived home and checked my messages to find six of them. They started at 6:15 and the last one was at 10:30. The realtor was trying to get ahold of me and because I was at Church, I had my cell off and was essentially unreachable. His last message was very insistant (sp?) that I call him if I got his messages before midnight.

I called the realto back and he told me a story about what had happend. He was absolutely awestruck as he had never seen anything, nor heard of anything like it ever happening.

In the space of four hours, a home that had only seen a sinle serious look in the past six months and an offer of 25% under the asking price, had received four documented offers, three of which were for over the asking price.

Some people choose to say coincidence or dispute that it happened. I say Glory to God!

Is God really supposed to drop cash into your hands? Wow. I guess I better get praying.

What ever happened to "money doesn't buy happiness"? I guess with this and the last post of yours I replied to, the answer is obvious in your case.
