Taiwan, sure, i'd retire there. good food too, i should be able to afford a house in a not so crowded area... perhaps my own private hot spring? big air conditioner for the house of course.

for a small island, there are a lot of people from taiwan in usa.

Tells you something, doesn't it?

Taiwan is really crowded, and a lot of Taiwanese that move here are pretty wealthy and easily fit into the upper-middle class lifestyle. A few of my cousins came here from Taiwan to attend university and/or to avoid serving the mandatory military service. Areas in SoCal like Arcadia and Diamond Bar are filled with rich Taiwanese immigrants.

So thats where everyone is. I lived in a white neighborhood on the westside, never knew there was a huge asian community over there until I graduated college.

I lived in Diamond Bar when it was mostly koreans. Then all of the sudden (like within a year) around the time Honk Kong became part of china all these rich chinese people started moving in and all the Korean shops turned into chinese shops. It was a funny site. One of my closes friends was a rich chinese guy.

yeah people used to ask me where I was from and I would say LA. Then they d say Pasadena, Arcadia? and some other places and I wondered why they asked even though I just said LA!!!!!.

I'm half chinese and would never live in china. I honestly can't picture myself ever fitting in there.

China, yes I would go back if there was a great Job opportunity that paid tons more than what I would have in the states. If not, then no I would not go back.
