To those saying there isn't a big gear gap in WoW and that it doesn't make a difference in PvP...

BP, I couldn't possibly care less about what the expansion will bring, since I won't be purchasing it. The biggest reason is the unbearable lag; one of these days I'm going to buy FRAPS and make a lag video, I know the perfect song for it too If/when I do I'll be sure to post it here. It will detail the frustration I and many others feel with this aspect of the game far better than bickering does.

cK, your point is invalid. I'm not, by a LONG shot, the only person who feels the way I do about the gear gap. In fact, so many others agree with me, and have voiced their opinion enough on the forums, that the "casual epics" are going to be implemented in 1.10. However, pointing this out isn't a valid argument until it's implemented - until then, the game is as it stands (horribly imbalanced between the haves & the have-nots).

Update: I was tabbed out and surfing the official forums during the 10-60 second period between clicking Release Spirit and actually ending up in the graveyard - something which happens very often for me in BGs (when I go oom it's faster & cheaper to run into a pack of alliance than to backpedal till out of combat and drink) and I happened upon a thread about the same video. That's what happens to MMORPG"S it happend in EQ, SWG and now in WOW what I don't want to see is a SWG type deal where the just say the hell with it and give epic's away at lvl 1 a'la SWG and jedi. There is a gear gap and always will be due to the varying amount of time people put into a game hell I was in SWG from one month in and I didn't have a Jedi until the NGE and then I cancelled. What sucks is that these epic'ed out people join BG's which then make's it unblanced and not fun. Maybe they can sort BG by gear and not let you switch out gear. So on my sever Voodoo would fight Lepus (they are the big two on cho'gall) and everyone else can play in peace
