Just thought you would like to see the newer pictures of "Cydonia". Maybe we can stop calling it Cydonia no, and just name it back to Quadrant II or something.

I just read that humorous article in Wired (7/01, p.140)... kinda sparked me interest again.

Kitros, I think you've been beaten by a long shot.. I've already heard about and seen these pictures, years ago, when the Mars Global Surveyor first took them..

As for no-one being interested, that isn't true either! Though I think alot of people on this planet would much rather blow each-other up then go to Mars..

If the sun sets where you live, then you can see mars. And you can see it all the time, except when it's behind, or very near to, the sun. Right now, our two planets are on the same side of the sun in their orbits, and yesterday was the closest approach until the next time we go around the sun and catch up to mars again.

If you want to see it, just look south after sunset, and it should be in the SW sky. Later in the night it will move to the SE.

That's interesting, where I live things raise in the east and set in the west. Look to the South East at sun set the bright red object is Mars, it will then move (with the stars) to set in the south west at around 3am.
