should i let the front plastic plate not re-place back to the chip bec. i got the gdf in already or should i, after putting in the gdf,then cut a piece like a gap or sizable rectagle hole on top of the plate, then replace back the plate?

I put the plastic back on mine because it holds the retention mechnism. Without it I have experienced my cpu literally falling out of the slot.

I have never had one fall out (and thats with an Alpha & 2 Delta "Black Labels" going. Unless you lug your case around to LAN parties, I would leave it off. It will help with cooling.
