Like it or not, agree with it or not, many people consider their dogs & cats to be part of the family...often as cherished as if they were their own children.
When one of them gets sick or dies, it can be just as traumatic as the death of a human family member.
If you can't show compassion for the person who just lost a loved one, albeit a pet, how can you show compassion when it's a human loved one?
Remember, you can't choose your family, but you CAN choose your friends and pets...often making the bond even stronger than with family.
That's the part that I'll never understand. Maybe because I have such a great bond with my whole family? Seriously, nobody in my family has pets at all or any interest in having any. But it's impossible for me to imagine an animal on the same level as my wife/family.
*shrug* I'll just leave it there I guess.

Alright, I'll admit my mistake. My opinion is with AlienCraft, more or less. It's not that your opinion is wrong and it's not your compassion that's in question.
Yes, and I can actually AGREE with what AlienCraft is saying too. He put it much better then just saying "dog hater asshole". Some of you have to realize that I'm not trying to be a dick when it comes to pets.
I'm seriously just totally lost about some of your feelings. Just like I don't understand spending $200 on jeans, or $50,000 on a car, or listening to rap music 😉
