Thank you for blocking my view of my son singing christmas songs with his class. Thank you for holding it up in the air so no one even 4 rows back got a good view. Thank you for at least giving me a laugh for seeing someone using a 10inch tablet as a camera. Seriously if you are doing this you look dumb as hell. I would bet any amount of money you also have an iphone so wtf

How well is the ipad's camera does in low light conditions?

iPad is like a giant iPhone that can't make phone calls. I love it.

Reminds me of the iPhone 5.

Whats next, the 7.5 inch iPhonePad? Maybe people can strap it to their armband while they run instead of the iPod. I've seen people running with iPhone armbands. It looked ridiculous in 2012 to have something that big attached to someone via armband.

I see people doing this all the time! I'm like What the heck? Especially when they have a cell phone with them! I think it looks so wierd
 
He probably thought that the display showing what the camera is seeing actually isn't blocking your view, but in a dark auditorium the lit up display would be a huge distraction.

I remember back like 15-25 years ago when parents would have those big bulky VCR-based camcorders. The video from them always turned out terrible and they'd pick up all the people coughing and shit in the audience while barely getting anything from the stage, and the video was shaky and shit.

I've only seen this one IRL, about a week ago. Guy looked fking stupid. Also considering a small point and shoot with excellent images can be had for $80, if you have a kid just get a damn real camera.

The camera on the pre ipad-3 was absolutely pitiful. I have an ipad2 and its camera is an affront to humankind, it's amazing how much it sucks.
 
I was in Yosemite a couple of weeks ago and people were taking pics with ipads. Looked odd.

Glad I'm not the only who thinks this is just ridiculous. I saw a LOT at Disney World at the beginning of the year and then increasingly more at random public events. It's pretty absurd to think that anyone could possibly justify toting an iPad around is a reasonable replacement for a camera of any sorts.

Im overstating the extent my view was blocked to show how idiotic somone using an ipad to take pictures really is. In truth the 5 seconds it takes to take a picture isnt enough to make me leave my seat. Go down 4 rows. Scoot between other people and then talk about his ipad. Me and the wife laughed when he did it rather than be angry.
