To the fools who thought the NSA was the only one spying

I couldn't care less if the NSA is spying on foreigners. I'm mad as hell because they're spying on us.

Fern

I have no issues with the NSA spying on everyone outside of the US, that is their job. I have huge issues with the internal spying. Of course other first world countries are spying on each other.

Meh. Expected behavior is expected. Get used to it. When it comes to electronic communications, privacy is mostly a myth.

I think that the metadata can help govts better understand their own populations, oddly enough. Take the international marijuana seed business, for example. With some effort, the govt can get a pretty good idea of how many orders are placed, if not necessarily how large or who the recipients are. One look at that would convince anybody that enforcement is futile.

Spying and using information against us. As far as ops contention? When the hell did "see we can hit people because we aren't the only ones doing it is a kindergarten justification.

People honestly think that everyone isn't spying on everyone else?.
.
Yes. Yes we do. It's not natural to spy on everyone as Government(s) are doing. It's immoral in every sense of the word.

It's perverse!

It's also what leads to the decline of civilizations...

No, Jhnnn,

This is Big Brother stuff... you know George Orwell's story of the absolute murder of the individual, of thought?

And you fancy yourself liberal. This is what shows how you are a dominating, government loving, social engineering, taxing, spending, "progressive."

Meh. It's like my wife rummaging through a whole basket of laundry looking for the right pair of panties. The other panties don't matter. For govt snoopers, we're just the rest of the laundry. Our mundane existences are insignificant noise.

That's very wrong Jhnnn, and has been proven so countless times throughout history.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

For sure, it is against any semblance of freedom, personal rights, anything that our country was founded on. It's the death of a country when Government does these things.

So who are they coming for now? Cliven Bundy? Armed militia nutcases?

Not that I actually support snooping at all, but then I've opposed the Patriot Act & ancillary legislation all along. Now that it can be blamed on Obama, it's a whole different story for a lot of people.

Or does it all point to... Benghazi?!

Will you and Obama just get a room?

Can you please link me to some of your posts opposing the patriot act?

The Government is now assuming God's role.

There is little left they don't know.

They know if you have been naughty, or nice.

No, I realize that the world is far more complicated than everybody sitting around a campfire simging kumbaya. You can take this childish viewpoint.

Relationships between nation states is not childish. Its why people like Ron Paul are fucking morons.

No kidding. I'm having problems finding where Germany has been spying on the entire population of the us. The world was complicated long before you were born and you aren't special for it Welcome to 50 years ago.

Ron Paul, would give appropriate thought to other nations, but if you want true conservatism, you have to let other nations fend for themselves.

I don't know how you could attack Ron Paul for that idea.
