To the British

From another site;

14:05 - I tell you what, if this is an ?Islamic? terrorist attack, they?re doing a piss-poor job. The pubs are all packed out, people sipping their pints happily, all a tad pissed off, but basically fine with it. Nice one, Al Quaeda - you profess to be from a teetotal religion, and you?ve given the pub trade a massive mid-week boost. Result.

The british way of looking at the world is just brilliant. In a spot of bother, go to the pub....

All of "the antipodes" are with you.

Just now found out that my husband's sister and her husband are okay. They are vacationing in London. We've been worried all day but couldn't do anything but wait. They said that phones have been jammed all day and they hadn't been able to get through until now.

My deepest condolences to those not so fortunate today.

Prayers, thoughts, and condolences are with those who have been injured, and lost in London.

I hope that whoever is responsible for the attacks is found and brought to justice quickly.

We were where you are now. You were there for us. We will be there for you.

My condolences to those that died. 🙁

A MESSAGE FOR THE BRITS:

Get that Union Jack out! Hang it from the windows, your cars, front doors, etc. Shove it right in "their" faces. Thats what us Yanks do anyway.

Nothing says your enemy failed more than your flag waving in their face!

Wow. This came as a total surprise to me. I was just in London about a month ago. Something needs to be done before this terrorism gets out of hand. My sympathies to everyone in London, the UK, and the whole world for having to endure these types of attacks. I'm not really sure what else to say.

Indeed, you mess with the UK and you mess with the US as well.

May God be with all the Brits in this time of need...

Thank you for the great courage and support you have given to America in the last four years.

You are not alone, and you will never be alone no matter what the outcome is to be.

To all those who respond, please keep political opinions to yourself, this is not the proper thread to post them.

Totally agree, great post. Our solidarity with the British could not be stronger

Wow the London Mayor just made a powerful statement reminiscent of Winston Churchill

What did he say? And on another more personal note, may who ever did this burn in hell and I hope they can find these ba$tards who did this
I've been looking for the text of his comments. I can't even begin to recite it verbatim and it has to be seen/read in verbatim to get the whole impact of his comments.

I'll try looking as well. I really want to hear this.
From the Mayor of London's speech:

I want to say one thing: This was not a terrorist attack against the mighty or the powerful, it is not aimed at presidents or prime ministers, it was aimed at ordinary working-class Londoners," Livingstone said.

That isn't an ideology, it isn't even a perverted faith, it's mass murder," Livingstone said. "We know what the objective is. They seek to divide London.

Well said. My thoughts are with the British.

New York. Madrid. London. i shudder to think who's next on the list

Did anyone else realize that those are 3 of the 5 2012 Olympic candidate cities?
I can see Paris being hit before Moscow. Indeed, that is a strange coincidence.
