So is Saddam OUR STANDARD NOW??

As long as were aren't as bad as Saddam was THEN WE ARE STILL THE GOOD GUYS?

We aren't perfect, but WE ARE THE GOOD GUYS.

We won't be for long if we keep setting our standards at "We weren't as bad as Saddam" level.

We won't be around long if we don't defeat evil, which the Islamic fanatics are a personification of.

And remember this boys and girls of America. The beatings and humiliation of Iraq prisoners, of which an overwhelming percentage were not criminals is a-ok because we're just gettin rid of them islamic fanatics.

No, you're the one who's laughable. All of your effort seems to be placed in making excuses for our military's disgusting behavior. Why don't you grow a set and own up to the fact that the U.S. really F'd things up?

It only takes one question to put things in perspective: How would you guys feel if these incidents involved American POWs instead of Iraqi prisoners?

How would you react to pictures of U.S. POWs on the floor bleeding from dog bites? How about stacked up naked forced to perform fellatio on each other? How about dead from being beaten in the showers, bruised and bloodied from head to toe and packed on ice with an Iraqi militant giving the "thumbs up for Allah" sign? How would you feel then?

What does that have to do with torturing Iraqi prisoners? In case you missed it the first thousand times this was pointed out, Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Even more, most of those Iraqi prisoners did nothing except live in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I am sick and tired of sleazy, cowardly weasels hiding behind 9/11 to justify their repugnant behavior. You and your ilk disgust me. You are a poster child for what is wrong with this administration.

Just because someone else tortured someone worse than we did doesn't make it OK for us to do it.

Humiliation is a far cry from torture.

Jesus Christ...here we go again.

Didn't you learn anything in the last month???

Ya, then why don't you have someone take pictures of you, naked and tied up, giving some other guy head and post them all over the web while you're at it. Humiliation in Arab culture IS torture, just cause it's not in your culture doesn't mean anything.

Are you an Arab? Just because the TV told you that humiliation is the worst thing in Arab culture doesn't mean much. Most of the time I've heard this it has been from Arabs being interviewed who are already condemning the U.S. for its actions, so saying something about Arab culture not tolerating humiliation is B.S. that makes the situation seem worse than it is.

Humiliation isn't good in any culture. But it isn't permanent (all the nude photos I've seen have blurred out faces), and it certainly is an upgrade to what they had before. Especially now that we are supposedly fixing the problem.

So that makes it A-Ok then eh? I am not Arab but I have lived in and visited many Arab countries. After talking to a lot of my Arab friends the consensus is that humiliation of that nature is torture. So their faces were blurred out, that doesn't make it any less degrading. Like I told the other guy, when you are ready to get naked and have your picture taken giving another man a hand job, you can claim that humiliation is not torture. Until then its just your uninformed opinion.

I don't work for the administration.

Why do you have more sympathy for Iraqi prisoners tham America's men and women in the armed forces?

It amazing how far you and your ilk will take partisanship.

What if the roles were reversed and those were Americans getting tortured in their anus and other places and you were an Iraqi civilian? What would you think?

Anyhow.. I hope you did not complain when al-qaeda tortured and killed michael berg 😉 - would seem rather hypocritical ... wouldn't it?

Where in his post did he say he was for the Iraqi's and against the troops? So you're saying you will blindly support military personell who abuse and humilate innocent civilians? I mean if we're going to make assumptions, there's one for you. I think it is you who are blind and partisianed.

So basically it's the fault of these 'prisoners' that they were born in Iraq, and were jailed without any wrong doing, then they were abused and humilated. This is one of the most absurd things I have ever heard.

I think that it's being blown way out of proportion by partisans.

Other than bludgeoning Bush, what's the point of repeatedly bringing this up?

Again you're dodging the question. This isn't to bludgeon Bush, but to take a serious look as to how OUR MILITARY SERVICE is treating civilians and prisoners. How much has the right said 'Look at what Sadaam did to his prisoners and own people, its an outrage!'. It just seems since it's not happening to an American, we can just turn a blinde eye to it, like the administration was trying to do in the first place instead of trying to take care of the situation before it put more of our troops in danger. Politics is politics, whenever something like this happens the media is going to flush it out, it's there, and if you can't deal with it, then don't listen to it or think you have to reply to it.

Nah, I put love of country above partisanship.
So you would like us to believe. However your posts show your claim to be extremely fallacious.

Perhaps you should ask NightCrawler. He brought it up again, trying to rationalize why it was OK ... just like you.

Who are you in real life? Alan freakin' Jackson? Way to answer a question with a question there R.

I'm afraid I'm not buying into your concept that 9/11 is a shield under which we can do whatever we want to incuding torturing and killing innocent Iraqis. Yup, rounded up in mass arrests, but hadn't actually done anything wrong -- except being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I suppose you didn't know that the Red Cross claims 90% of those prisoners in Abu Grahib were innocent. 90%! So now how do you feel?

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, so just stop diverting already.

Wow, I never saw that picture. Got a link? Not that I get some sick pleasure over seeing crap like that but I would really like to see it with my own eyes as opposed to trusting someone an internet forum.

Do a Goggle search, I'm sure you'll find all kinds of sick sh!t. I saw blurred out versions of the pics in an article I was reading, regardless, do you find it hard to beleive that such acts could have been commited against the Iraqi prisoners?

What I find hard to believe is that I haven't heard of a picture like that if it's as widely spread and REAL as you claim. Hell, I could take Iraqi prison photos off the net, blur a portion of them, write a caption that says 'IRAQI PRISON ABUSE : ANAL PROBING' and then libs would go insane over the anal abuse imposed upon the Iraqi prisoners.

Well considering no one in the military is denying that such degrading offenses were commited, I don't see why you have to be so incredulous. If you want to see them, look for them, they are out there and no offense, but I really don't care whether you beleive them to be real or not.

But that's just the thing. I've never even heard of such an offense, so why would the military deny that they had people forcing the Iraqi prisoners to suck each other off?

Now, instead of continuing down this path, why don't you just admit that you added in that part to give your post a bit of a more dramatic flair.
