To return a tv at bestbuy, do you need the box?

Just got a new 46" tv from BB, obviously the box is HUGE...

Can i chuck it and still be able to return it?

I'm on hold right now, but no one is picking up.

If you still have it, save it. Stick it in the garage or something. Can't hurt to play it safe.

I dont have a garage... The box is about 75-80" long, and about 3-4 feet tall.

Do you know how to break a box down? Just do that and store it behind the TV for a period of time.

look on the back of the receipt to see if it says something about getting charged if everything isnt returned...if you don't have the box, you may have to pay 15 or 20% fee if you return it...(and they will just stick on the floor with the other returns)...

I had a defective Phillips HDTV about a year ago (failed in its 3rd day of use) & they took it back without the box, no questions asked & gave me full credit towards the Sony I have now, but my local BB seems to be the exception to the rule with those stores & most of them will screw you over given the slightest excuse, so if theres any way you can keep that box, then you should!

That box is big enough to hold like... 3 of those TVs

Yeah, after you break down a box, just slide it behind some peice of furniture or lean it up against a wall for a temporary time.
