To Lite-On or Plextor...that is the question???

the yamaha drive also has this mount rainier cdrw technology which enables you to drag n drop files on the the cdrw. other wirters can also do this but they still require software while the yamaha doesn't. there's something more to this technology but i forgot what it was.

Plextor

Reason because plextors will burn any media and cheap burners are usually very picky on what media works with them

With plextor you are paying for the name. You can get the 32x lite-on for the price of the plextor. I say go with a lite-on.

Just got my 24x Lite On black from newegg. works great so far and comes with Nero.

Question, what is the InCD program that comes with Nero, try to install it and says incompatible with XP?

i think the inCD program is for copying files straight to a cdrw disk by drag and dropping instead of having to copy it like a regular cdr...but i could be very wrong, i've never used it 😉

one aspect that has always been overlooked is that plextor drives have been going down in price dramatically within the lat few months. a IDE 24x plextor CDRW can be obtained from newegg for $130. still a bit more than the Liteon, but much lower than the $230 I paid for my 12x10x32a a long time ago. 🙂
