To Flash or not to Flash

That's my question. I've got an AbitKT7-R and haven't flashed yet. Not sure how to check what bios I have, but I bought the board in Sept. My setup right now is pretty stable, but I do have problems w/some games freezing my system [UT, MW3/4, WA and others]. I'm a virgin flasher, so be gentle Also, if I should flash, to what?

go to www.abit-usa.com

go to bios updates...
find your board and get the new bios... they also have pretty good flash instructions there

unless something is wrong or you really want that extra bit of performance you should not flash. granted the risk of frying a chip these days has gone way down because manufacturers make it so easy it's best to leave a good thing alone.

Thanks for the info guys. It is runnin fine and I have all the tweakin I need for now. Gonna leave a good thing alone. If it aint broke, don't break it!
