To Flash or not to Flash

That's my question. I've got an AbitKT7-R and haven't flashed yet. Not sure how to check what bios I have, but I bought the board in Sept. My setup right now is pretty stable, but I do have problems w/some games freezing my system [UT, MW3/4, WA and others]. I'm a virgin flasher, so be gentle 😱 Also, if I should flash, to what?
 
unless something is wrong or you really want that extra bit of performance you should not flash. granted the risk of frying a chip these days has gone way down because manufacturers make it so easy it's best to leave a good thing alone.
 
Thanks for the info guys. It is runnin fine and I have all the tweakin I need for now. Gonna leave a good thing alone. If it aint broke, don't break it!
