Please ensure your employees can read and write so that they can get my order right more than 20% of the time or I am going to stop spending money at all.

Seriously, out of the last 5 things I've ordered out - only 1 has been correct - all with different places.

My order is not that unusual - mayo - lettuce - tomato - and pickles.

I didn't say onions. I didn't say mustard (to which I am repulsed by). Never mentioned ketchup either. You repeated the order back to me.

Enjoy the fact I am bagging and freezing my sandwich and receipt that I will bring back to you at some time in the future at my convenience to get a refund of my $2.29.

No, I'm not letting it go.

I hate to turn this political, but something I figured out over the past couple years is its more likely you will learn Spanish than they will learn English.
Ditto for American fast food employees and legal immigrants.

For the most part theres a reason they are working in fast food.
1. They are young and lack experience with any sort of job, and given how spoiled and stupid the average American kid is, its not shocking they could even fuck up something as simple as fast food orders. The smart ones will move on to shift managers or better jobs after a short while. They wont stick around.
2. They are really old and were unable to save for their retirement. The fast pace and heavy use of technology is probably a challenge for them. BUT, they are probably much smarter and more motivated than the average American dirtbag, so at least they have some advantages.
3. They are immigrants of one form or another, and even though they may be smart and super motivated, they probably dont speak English really well. Much like young American kids, the smart ones with good communication skills wont serve fast food very long. They will move on to better things.
4. They are American, young adults in the prime of their life, and they are complete fuck heads. They should have been doing something else but they wasted too much of their teenage years on drugs and wrist cutting, and now have nothing going for them. They were damn lucky to get any sort of job, and are lucky to not be laid off after a week. They will stick around until they die from overdose, off themselves, get fired, or quit to form a band (if they are super hard working).

Now keep in mind, I am not bashing the fast food industry. Every red-blooded American should be willing to work hard. Its a serious problem these days and one we are finally paying a heavy price for. But anyone who is intelligent and has direction will learn the lessons of fast food as quick as possible and go forward in life. Working hard to succeed is a noble endeavor. Working hard just to get a paycheck cuz you cant figure out anything else is wasteful and silly.

Anyone that doesn't want to eat stuff on the menu as-is should just eat at a restaurant or bag it.

I've never had a problem with fastfood messing up my orders. Maybe because I'm in the suburbs.

Eh getting order wrong isn't that bad... just have them get you a new one.
I've been given wrong change though. Sometimes to low other times to much. Though for to little the most wasn't even a quarter to much back was something like $20. :p

If you eat their shitty food often enough such that the errors occur so frequently as to piss you off to the point where you need to post about it....then I think you would actually be better off readjusted your diet.

Some of the ESL folks at my local McDonald's are better about it than the native English speakers.

O yea - I did. I repeated it twice - like I do every time. They even repeat it back - which leads me to believe it is the cook.

this is the problem.

only say what you want, never say what you don't want. It's like the first rule about teaching: Don't provide examples that aren't right, or simply don't exist.

The mind is funny with the way it hears and absorbs things.

Feel free to start your own restaurant with that policy. I'll consume however I like, since it's my money.

are you going through the drive-through? because asking for anything beyond a simple menu item # over those crappy speakers is asking for trouble and you should know better.

I think it's more the buttons(with pictures even) confused him when he was working the register. :p

And yeah most the stuff tastes like crap as is. :(

I don't know. Here in Los Angeles, I've only ever encountered a problem once, when I requested no beans on my nachos but they put them anyway. That overwhelming large majority of the time, my food is exactly how I ordered it.

afaik, my local McD's has never hired any minorities & probably won't in the near future.

(edit: because 97%+ of the local population is white)

Have you ever had mustard in your mouth?! It's a fate at least twice as bad as death.

While I admire your passion regarding this subject, I feel that it is my duty to inform you that mustard is freaking awesome! (brown mustard--not that fake yellow crap).

However: mayonnaise--this is where you should direct your ire.

How dare you raise your finger at the Mayo!
My coldcut sandwiches cannot be complete without it.

You know the slogan "Bring out the Hellman's bring out the best."
It's there for a reason.

Mustard is for the dogs. Hot dogs that is. Ooh, it goes well with pastrami also...

I usually use the drive-thru and if I don't see my addition or substitution on the screen I don't proceed until I do.
