To ECC or Not to ECC that is the question.

The specks on an Intel motherboard says that - if needed - the board supports ECC RDram.

Is there an advantage to having ECC ram vs. non ECC ram?

If you're worried about stability, then go with the ECC. If you plan on oc'ing, then don't as the ECC will slow you down-not a whole lot, but a little. The ECC automatically corrects itself were as the non-ecc, well, it doesn't :)

you cant tell the difference between ecc or non ecc, ecc allows your system not to crash as often as it checks and scrubs errors

I have ECC rather aggressivly set and have had no problems. The only thing is that I had to up the voltage a little, was getting a lot of BSD until that. Now I am solid as a rock!

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by "aggressivly set"?
What type processor/mobo do you have?
