To dog owners...

So, our neighbor's dog has been barking ALL DAY LONG. Usually he barks for at least 3 hours in the morning and usually in the afternoon, but today he feels the need to bark all day.

Just a reminder to dog owners, if you have your dog outside, it probably barks while you're away, and while you may be unaware of it, it's really annoying to other people.

That is all...

Wow, I'm glad the OP doesn't live next to me...

He'd probably come over to my house and say "keep your roosters inside, they're making cock-a-doodle-do sounds", the goats are going "baaa-aaaaa", etc. And, those birds at the bird feeder... soooo annoying! Not to mention the grunting sounds from the pig all the time.

pssssst: That's what dogs do: bark. Ignore it. 😛 🙂

You know what guns do? They kill pets and people.

I know how you feel.

When I'm incharge of the world, anything outside that makes a sound that I can hear in my house will be dealt with.

What you need to do is put a microphone near the dog.

Hook this up to a series of amplifiers that are connected to a series of speakers. You're aiming for 700-900 dB of output here.

That way, everytime the dog barks, it will get a friendly reminder not to do it any more.

I can't stand inconsiderate a-holes that think it is their right to disturb the neighborhood with their loud and obnoxious incessantly barking dogs.

Not only that, but they make a lot of noise, too! You should hear all the racket when I get the guns out and start firing them.

Those of you who are advocating shooting or poisoning the animal should blame the owner, not the dog. Dogs bark naturally, and with little effort. Go have a chat with the neighbor and tell them how you feel. If you are not comfortable with it, call animal control, or the cops and let them do it. I don't think, however, that barking during the day is illegal in any way.

call the police and file a noise complaint.

eventually it will have an effect.
