To buy an Xbox360 or not...

I already have a PS3 and am very happy with it, but I really want Forza. Best Buy is offering the Elite for $250 after a $50 GC. What other games are out there that are exclusive to sway me?

For reference, I have no desire to play L4D, GoW, Halo etc. That said, I loved Fallout 3 and the Fable series looks interesting.

Mass Effect 2 is the first that comes to mind.

Upcoming exclusives include Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, Fable III, etc
 
I will ask you this: is the amount of entertainment you will receive at the hands of an Xbox360 worth the $250 you're willing to spend on it?

If the answer is yes, buy one; if no, don't

buy what you want to buy, not what others tell you to buy.

if you really want forza, you wouldn't be asking other people if it is worth it for you.

To the OP, there are several good exclusives out there, but it all depends on how often you'll use it.

If you're like famous (ivan) or Quik who seem to play Forza like 27 hours a day well then yeah, it's definitely worth it. But I wouldn't buy the console for just one game.

Not wanting to play L4D, Halo, or GoW is a good number of the exclusives (although I don't play any of 'em either), but there's a few more.

Alan Wake (potentially...if you're not tired of waiting)
Crackdown 1 & 2
Fable 2 & 3 (and 1 since it's BC)
Forza Motorsport 2 & 3 (although I'd just get 3)
Mass Effect 1 & 2
Project Gotham Racing 3 & 4

Then you've got the great XBLA games (Shadow Complex, Castle Crashers, etc) and all the fun stuff like that there.
 
Is it fun? Yes. Is it more fun than a PS3? I seriously doubt it (and I have an Xbox and really enjoy it). But if you don't mind spending the $250, go ahead.

EDIT: As far as exclusives goes: Alan Wake should be great. If you don't have a good PC - Mass Effect 1+2 and the upcoming Splinter Cell Conviction look great too. I also really enjoyed Fable 2. The game's easy but there's something really relaxing about it.

I've owned a PS3 since 2007, and at Christmas I got a 360 Elite just for Forza and say it's worth it.
 
I've only recently picked up Forza 3 and gotta say even though I'm not a fan of racing games (last one I played was on the regular xbox, one of the Need For Speed titles I think), I'm enjoying it a lot. I wouldn't pick up a 360 for it alone, but there enough big exclusives on the 360 to make up for that. I'm sure you can get your moneys worth out of it.
 
Tons of great games on the 360. The latest 360 versions are very reliable. I'd say go for it if you have the money. Just go browse. i'm pretty sure you'll see at least a few things you'd like to play.
