I like the idea of the space saving design. I was thinking about getting one of these for my girlfrien. This way I dont have to share my puter not that school is back again and all. He he he he.

Well any way what do you guys/gals thing of buying a modded I opener. I wanna buy a modded one beacuase I dont have the time to mode one myself.

nothing wrong with it, yes I think they are worth the 200$ i sold a moded 1 last week for 200$ plus shipping it had a 1.5 gig HD and USB nic. Maybe I can mod 1 for u?

Netpliance increased the price: now $299, plus $21.95/month.
Looks like: a cheap e-machine is a better value, unless the small size is a necessity.

i never really understood why everyone was so excited about
the i-opener. Maybe the screen or something...but other than
that, isn't a cheapo P200 gonna give you way better
performance?

Network it with all your computers in the house, hook up some good speakers to it and make it an mp3s terminal with internet capabilities or something. That'd be really cool. Too bad I don't have any money.

I wanted one for the flat panel. It'd be cool to set it up as a nice, quiet alternative to my raging beast of a main machine. I can usually stand the noise & size of my baby, but occasionally it'd be nice to have a quiet, simple machine.
