If anyone is interested I was in Walmart today, they have the mag. I'm in Eastern Canada, so I assume it's everywhere. Although be careful, it's not plastic wrapped and I've heard people are just going in and copying the codes.

I used to subscribe to PC Gamer. then it started to get thinner and thinner. Then most of the pages were full page ads. Some of the reviews got suspect. And so i figured it wasn't worth the price. So I dropped subscription.

PC Gamer NEVER got thinner. Unless you ripped out the ads.
One day when I was bored and noticed I had my fattest issue ever, I ripped out all the full page ads on both sides of one sheet. The thing was HALF its original thickness. I didnt even tear out all the full page ads with articles on the other side.
Thats when I decided to stop renewing.

Maybe it is plastic wrapped and all those mags were jacked already.

So, it actually did get thinner at one point. Back in the 90s it was a decent mag. Then it got THINNER. I can't say what it is now, maybe it grew back? And if so, it probably was because they stuffed it with adverts. But yeah. If you never saw it get thinner, you just didn't have it back far enough.

This. I used to subscribe to it and it definitely got thinner although it was always about 50/50 ads when I was getting issues regardless of size.

Yeah I am confused why the mag costs so much without a disc. Anyway, it had relevant info on dominion to consider but the only really good part of the mag was the fake news page. Headline read, "Milestone: 6 millionth forum user suggests TIE Fighter reboot."

I am considering the Nasus offer but don't hold it for me. I can't use my code till the 15th anyway.

I had every one since the 2nd issue.

But when I left for the Navy my mom tossed out all of them.
I got some more for a couple years, but when my dad died the family threw out all of THOSE!

I wish I could go back and look over them again. The first couple years were awesome. Great articles, good demos. Fun times.
So sad. I knew PC gaming was changing when they let go of the Grognard guy.
