To anyone using a PAL8045 w/ Asus A7V - need your input on RAM issue

I'm using a PAL8045 with an A7V333 and have been having lockup problems when running 3DMark and Prime95. Looking at the board, the first DIMM bank is very close to the heatsink. Could the heat from that be causing the problems? The mobo shouldn't have any problems running the DIMMS in the 2nd and 3rd banks, rather than the 1st and 2nd, should it?

my server has an a7v mobo... the ram is pretty close to the hsf so mine runs in the 3rd slot (but no you shouldnt have any problems leaving your first slot empty)
