I am my own God and I believe in myself so there.

I think therefore I am

Descartes walks into a bar, and the bartender recommends him a very fruity apple martini. Descartes goes, "I think not", and immediately disappears. ;)

That's pretty bad, though.

Wow.....welcome to P&N.....oh wait, you didn't post this there, did you??

Sadly, you're another poor soul who has missed the subtle distinction between religion and faith in a higher being. IMHO, more atrocities have been commited in the name of religion than any other reason in the world. Luckily, there's an equal amount of charity and goodness that seems to happen because of it. Still, I don't believe in organized religion, as it's my opinion that all it does is screw up faith.

Faith, on the other hand, is your pure belief in a higher being, power, God, whatever you wish to call it. My personal faith falls in line pretty much with the teachings of the bible, although I see way too much interpretation by man happening to bother with organized religion. And I do believe that if there's ever going to be a day of reckoning with God, that there's going to be a LOT of religious people that will be in for a great big surprise that day.

And that's all I have to say about that. :)

The way I understand the Bible (well, was told about it since most of my extended family is catholic), if you're not baptise you go into limbo, not hell. So since him not baptise and don't belive in any gods ( who are you to says their is only one god?) I will go to limbo which is like being nowhere.

So it's about the same thing I allready think will happen to me when I die (dust in the ground).

So by not beliving I get the same result where ever there is a god or not. Doesn't change a thing for me.

And BTW your post IS PRETTY OFFENSIVE FOR OTHER RELIGIONS SINCE YOUR TITLE SAYS "NONBELIVERS IN RELIGION" AND IN YOUR POST YOU START BY EXCLUDING ALL RELIGION BUT CHRISTIANITY.

ps.: sorry if this has allready been said but got sick of reading the discussion after page 2...

When the light flickers from your eyes, will you be baptised in the Marinara of the FSM?
