I did it with just the recommended settings. Download VISIONary from the market to get temp root, run the command from ADB and then check it out with SETCPU. I got 1.14 without any issues at all. Problem is that the overclock went away after a bit and once you reboot its gone until you do the whole bit again.

Its looking like the kernel gets overwrote once the phone checks it, so you aren't in danger of breaking anything.

that sucks. i guess when root is perm, then ill try it. so far no issues running stock

yep. Its more of a thing to play with right now. It shows that the phone has a TON of potential. Just need to wait for the smart people to figure out how to make things permanent.

Mine's been running at ~1.15GHz for 24 hours with no appreciable difference in battery life. It never lost root or the OC.

You are correct. It only rewrites after reboot.

I'm at 1.14. I looking at the actual speed which was 850 because it wasn't under load.
