after two months of not touching my tables, i got on them. i thought i was going ot be sounding bad, but i was sounding BETTER THAN BEFORE I STOPPED!!!!!! my cuts were faster, although not as fast as i would like, my mixing was completely on point!!!

only gripe i have is my right hand, i have never been proficient at scratching with my right, and using the fader with my left. ARGHHH!!! IT PISSES ME OFF :|:|:|

Try getting lessons from porno, that'll increase the dexterity of your hands! ;)

Heh, I thought about starting to DJ over the summer, nothing ever came of it. Its too bad because it looks like fun...oh well.

hehehe, the dexterity i'd earn from manipulating myself doesnt utilize the level of delicacy that is involved in the art known as turntabling.

Hehe. Back in my disco DJing days (1975-1979), scratching was what we were trying to avoid. ;)

However, making a good mix or transition could be orgasmic. :Q

All I know is all the DJ's i've ever listened to sucked.

It's no fun at parties when there isn't a good dj.

KidViciou$,

Paul Oakenfold spins trance/progressive house. Some of the rave tapes I have from England feature some of the best turntablist I have ever heard.

EDIT==> I know what you mean about one hand not being as proficent. Both my turntables are on the left.

Okay, if you wanna see good good scratching/mixing, go see
the 1999 ITF world championships between A-trak and Primecutz.
A-trak is the Jimi Hendrix of the turntable.
You can see the vid here. Sorry, it's ALL flash,
so no further link than that, just go through the front menu to "Hipnodx"
Then to "battlin" then to the 99 ITF scratching finals.
A-trak is AMAZING.

wh00kah,

A-trak has some skillz but I would rather see a few less tricks and have it all in a mix. I really did like the Rocksteady clip though. Talk about a flashback. Damn I feel old tonight.
