the map is inaccurate and too simplistic - Ferrari for example - that deal is way too complex ... more later ...

VW does not own Porsche. The original Porsche guy (Porsche) designed VWs (Beetle) I could of swarn rover has something to do with BMW. Range Rovers use BMW engines.

I'm pretty sure BMW is responsible for their Canadian/US operations, but don't know about Europe.

Land Rover used to be owned by BMW until Ford bought it from them. That happened a few years ago I believe
