Hello all. I am doing a complete overhaul on my system, and the focus is on replacing my 5 year old CRT. I want something that will work for PC gaming, general PC use, and TV. I'm getting the 9700 pro All-In-Wonder!!! Sweet, but anyway... What are some very high quality monitors for this purpose? I'm thinking CRT, but I say an Apple Cinema Display 20" today that was impecable. Beautiful. It's $1300 price tag is restrictive, any cheaper options. Thanks in advance,
peace

Have you thought about a used 21" monitor? I got a 21" ViewSonic P810 (.26mm, 1600x1200@76 Hertz) for $400 Canadian ($261 U.S.) and the monitor is absolutely in mint condition. PM me if you're interested in one.:)

Sony Personal Entertainment Display.
17" widescren LCD, hooks up to your PS2, XBox or GC, as well as your computer at 1280x768 or 1024x768 resolution. It is the brightest monitor I have ever seen, and it is very versatile - also it is an HDTV monitor if you have any use for that. I have one and I would not use anything else, period. Runs $1k retail, I got mine for about $750 new on eBay.

omg that is such a nice moniter. I'm thinking about getting one myself but I'd like to see it first. How do games look on it in progressive scan? Have you tried that? I bet halo in progressive scan + widescreen would look pretty sweet for LCD moniter
