TNT2 no longer compatible with Nvidia's newer drivers?

I currently have a TNT2 M64 PCI card and a BFG 6800OC AGP card so that I can run 3 monitors.

I'd been running the beta 71.20 drivers for quite some time. I had no reason to upgrade as these were stable and I wasn't playing games. Then I decided to try the BF2 demo. I had awful video artifacts, so I tried upgrading to the latest drivers at the time - 77.77. These caused my computer to BSOD upon bootup. After restoring last known good, I was back in business. Later I tried FEAR and I was unable to run the game with my old drivers, so I tried the latest ones again - 81.85. These also caused a BSOD at bootup. After pulling out my PCI TNT2, things booted up fine.

Today I reformatted to start from scratch. I loaded the 81.85 drivers and I still get a BSOD at the Windows splash screen if I have the TNT2 in my system.

AFAIK, the TNT2 only works with 71.20 drivers and earlier, at least on my system. Is this a known issue, and is there a workaround?

They need to update their driver download application to reflect this. When I select TNT2/Geforce, it prompts me to download the 81.85s.

Is there a way to run separate drivers for each nvidia card? I bought the TNT2 to consolidate my drivers. :|

Don't hold me to this, but I believe that I saw some modified drivers that claimed to add support for those older cards. XG drivers I think, but maybe DNA.

I doubt newer drivers have added any benefit to such old hardware for quite some time. Could be wrong, but any issues would have been worked out ages ago.
