TNT2 Model 64 Win XP crash on game startup

I Have TNT2 Model 64 card AGP. I am trying to Age of Mythology and the game freezes on the startup menu as soon as i move the mouse. When the computer hangs it is making a beeping sound and the odd thing is that i was getting a message that said that XP crashed due to an error related to the video card but i am not seeing it anymore ( i updated the driver ) . Counter strike works but that also hangs every now and then but not like AOM that hangs all the time.

are TnT DX 8.1 parts.. if not then taht can be an issue, in that AOM does ALOT of DX 8.1 calls

Win XP already has the 8.1 support... how would Dx 8.1 would be a issue here
