From: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nat...hoots-girl-8-argument-puppy-article-1.2385429

An 11-year-old boy in Tennessee shot and killed his next door neighbor, an 8-year-old girl, over an argument about a puppy Saturday, police said.

The young killer, a fifth grade student at White Pine Elementary School, used his father’s 12-gauge shotgun to fire at Maykayla Dyer from inside his home around 7:30 p.m., WRIB reported.

The little girl, a third-grader at the same school, was hit the chest and died in a hospital, police said.

Neighbors said the senseless shooting was sparked by the girl innocently declining to let the boy play with her dog.

“Wanting to see a puppy, the little girl laughed and told him no...and that was it,” neighbor Chasity Arwood told WRIB.

The shooter, who has not been identified, was charged with first-degree murder in juvenile court, and a judge could decide to send the case to adult court.

[sarcasm]NRA and politicians: *stuffs mouth with pizza* Stuff happens! Just buy more guns.. if only the girl had a gun! *drinks sprite, burp!*[/sarcasm]

Edited: to better reflect my sentiment accurately.

You may not be able to support my sarcasm but isn't that what the NRA is doing in reality?

Can't believe you're making me defend the NRA> They are referring to adults. People who should be more rational and able to determine consequences of actions and decide accordingly.

Parents should be charged with felony murder for not properly securing the shotgun. Maybe after enough parents are incarcerated others would take note and start taking their parenting responsibilities more seriously.

Nice to know the OP is such a worthless piece of shit as to find such joy in the brutal murder of a child. Um, I mean find such joy in the sweet political opportunity associated with the brutal murder of a child.

From now on I'll find sarcasm in every shooting since nothing will change until you all are disgusted enough to make politicians change. It's ironic that I have to use sarcasm in this way but whatever it takes.

With Sandyhook.. nothing changed, everyone posted all respects and grief logically so I'll try sarcasm this time around.

Agreed. God, the OP is a jackbag.

Far more children drown in home swimming pools but you don't hear much about banning those. We mandate things like fences but apparently there is nothing we can do to stop children from using guns. All hope is lost for guns because...

You may have a point but where do we draw the line? 18 years old?

Sandyhook shooter got his guns from his mom.
Charleston shooter got his gun from his dad.
Oregon shooter got his gun from his mom.

The kids involved in this attended the school my mother works for (WPE). The boy had severe behavioral issues and had been disciplined (suspended) by the school on numerous occasions. His parents chose to ignore his violent behavior, and the school's recommendation that he receive treatment for his mental/emotional problems.

Edit: and no, I didn't get the info from my mother, I've not spoken with her about it. A local talk show has been discussing the incident this morning.

What's the NRA's position on broad criminal liability for people whose guns are used in crimes?

Congrats, you've taken the first step towards becoming a mass murderer. So, when are you planning a shooting spree of your own? o_O

Glad your family is okay. That must have hit a little too close to home.

I don't understand how you came across to that.

Just wanting to be an active protester and show our usual responses is not enough and what actual responses of politicians will be behind their usual lying faces makes me want to be a murderer?

I'm really confused how you jumped to this

And this is a child within whose reach they thought it was appropriate to leave a loaded shotgun (or the gun + ammo, anyway...):hmm: Sounds like they should be charged with endangering the welfare of a minor (their own, among others) as well as felony murder... ETA: Strictly speaking, "felony murder" wouldn't really apply, but considering the current state of the law generally, I'm sure they'd be chargeable under one sort of accessory theory or another...

Congrats, you've taken the first step towards becoming a mass murderer. So, when are you planning a shooting spree of your own? o_O
You can say o_O again... Don't quit your day job to become a law enforcement profiler...

Wow, OP is ignorant.
Ignorant of what, exactly?

Are you by any chance suggesting he's ignorant of the millenia-old tradition of satire as a vehicle of political change? You sound just like one those self-righteous English aristocrats who had no problem watching Irish peasants starve, but were outraged by A Modest Proposal...:whiste:

Stuff happens.

Exactly my point.. but it shouldn't just happen!

I'm disgusted by when crazies go around killing people. It happens all too often.. :whiste:

It's just really really sad and it's not the first, nor will it be the last.

What real solution is there?

Thank you!

Appreciate that someone sees if it looks like a duck satire, swims like a duck satire, and quacks like a duck satire, then it probably is a duck satire.

A wise edit. Otherwise I'm sure (quite seriously) that some numb-nut would've started a sub-thread asking what ducks had to do with the topic... o_O:':)D, in no particular order...

NRA has nothing to do with this.

A fucking idiotic parent who didn't have the gun locked up is.
