Tmobile upgrade question...

Oyeve

Lifer
Before I call tmobile and get flagged i'll ask here.

Been a tmo customer forever. I lent a coupla older phones to my gf's son who either lost them or sold them for crack. Anyway, she offered me his upgrade. So, I got her to get me a sgs2, working great and i love it. So, My plan is up for renewal soon but when I log onto tmos website it shows the sgs2 and not my prior sgs1 which I had for nearly 2 years. I know they automatically sense what phone you have but I am wondering if I am still due for a phone upgrade when MY 2 years are up (sometime next month) or will tmo say hey, you are using a new sgs2 and no upgrade for you?

if you didnt use your upgrade, it should still be available. you basically brought in a no-contract phone and just popped in your sim card

Pretty much. But tmos been getting bitchy lately. My GF received a letter from them refusing her $50 rebate card because the imei wasnt activated on her sons account yet. Called them up and chewed them out. Rebate on the way.

Man I have been with Tmo since 2003, and have always got great service from them. I finally upgraded my plan to include internet through the loyalty # and got a crazy deal.

Have Google Nexus One (bought myself $450 last year sometime)
upgraded package to include internet ($53/month after corporate discount)
got them to send me a Sensation 4g for $46 (real money from credit card)
got $50 mail in rebate for that phone which was a shot in the dark really ($50 debit card arrived 3 weeks later)
they then gave me a $250 credit (phone cost $250 upgrade price at the time) but I never paid them $250 so no clue where that came from...
Just now finally paid them real money for my monthly bill after 4 months of working off that $250 credit.

Still using Nexus One, sold the Sensation 4G to friend for $250. 😀
