If you have the sidekick Tmobile service and say you put your SIM into a standard GSM phone, I am going to assume phone service will work normally. What about email(if the phone supports email) will you still be able to receive emails sent to your phone?

Okay here's the deal. Receiving emails and such is something that you can only do if you have the right features on your account, regardless of which phone you have. You can have a Nokia 3390 and, with the right features on your account, folks can send you email -however, you won't be able to receive them.

If you've got an account with the proper features, you can put your SIM card into any phone that has the ability to interact with an email server properly and receive email.

Ok and what non camara based phones support email simular to the Sidekick II phone?

I'm not getting rid of the phone(Sidekick II) or the service(Sidekick II) For the next few months though I can't have a camara yet I still need a cell phone. Being able to read my email while are work would be nice(not all that necessary though)
